1:51Process automation: when are fixed rules enough?
Use a fictional purchase request to learn when fixed workflow rules are sufficient and how to check clear states, repeated requests and exception paths.

The spoken explanation, organised by chapter.
Welcome to OXIAE. How can AI process an email while your business stays in control of what happens next?
Imagine a customer emails to say an order has not arrived. A staff member reads the message, looks up information and passes the question on. This example is fictional.
Separate that work into four stages: receive the information, classify the question, check the result and only then carry out a permitted action. Each stage needs a clear output.
Fixed rules can check whether a required field is present. They also determine which actions are permitted. These checks do not need a language model.
AI can interpret the wording and suggest that this is a delivery question. That suggestion does not establish that the order is actually missing.
If information is missing or the classification is uncertain, a staff member reviews the question. You can also require approval before an important change or a message to the customer.
Test ordinary, incomplete and repeated inputs. Include an unavailable connection. Measure errors, quality and total handling time, including the time people spend checking results and putting mistakes right.
Choose one recurring process and someone responsible for exceptions. Compare the trial with the current way of working before automating more of the business.
OXIAE connects AI with clear rules and human oversight. Read the AI automation guide for the next step.
